Kinetic
Means moving. A kinetic sculpture is one that can move!
Motion
When something moves from one place to another.
Force
A push or a pull that makes something start moving, stop, or change direction.
Friction
A force that happens when things rub together — it can slow motion down.
Balance
When something stays steady and doesn't tip over.
Stability
How strong and steady something is. A stable sculpture doesn’t fall or wobble.
Bearing
A mechanical connection that enables something to turn in a specific direction
Mechanism
A part of the sculpture that helps it move — like gears, levers, or spinning parts.
Prototype
The first version you build to test out your ideas.
Test
When you try out your sculpture to see if it moves the way you planned.
